How the Curve pad works

A Curve pad token starts on a bonding curve priced in GOO: every buy on the curve pays GOO, and every sell returns GOO. When the curve has raised its target, the buy that fills it graduates the token in the same transaction. The curve's GOO and the tokens left open the token's GOO pool on Goo's CL engine at the 1% tier, as one full-range position the graduator holds for good: no one can withdraw it.

Sized in dollars

Each curve raises a fixed dollar amount of GOO, currently $12,500, converted at GOO's price when the token is created: the GOO/WETH 1% pool's time-weighted price times Chainlink's ETH/USD feed. A token starts at about a $4,000 market cap and graduates at about $59,000. Once created, a curve's size is fixed in GOO, so its dollar figures move with GOO until it graduates.

A $500 reward for the creator at graduation

When a token graduates, its creator earns a reward of 4% of the raise: currently $500, in GOO at GOO's price when the token was created. During a bonus campaign the treasury adds to it, for example another $500, while its bonus pot lasts. Whoever makes the buy that fills the curve also gets a small reward for the extra gas of graduating it. The creator's reward waits on the token's page, and the creator claims it, with any trading fees, in one transaction.

0.7% of every trade to the creator

Curve trades pay a 1% fee: 0.7% to the token's creator and 0.3% to the fee splitter. After graduation the pool's 1% fee pays the engine's protocol share first, 0.25% to the FeeJar and development fund as on every pool. Of the 0.75% the position earns, 0.7% of the trade goes to the creator, in GOO on buys and in the token on sells; the rest goes to the splitter (GOO) or is burned (tokens). Collection timing is separate from the trade.

A fair first minute

For a token's first minute no one can buy, or hold, more than 5% of its supply. The creator's optional first buy lands in the creation transaction itself.

After graduation

A graduated token trades in its GOO pool like any other pool of the engine, routed through GOO. Its pool's position belongs to the graduator and cannot be withdrawn.

Creator, token and issuer identity

Anyone can create a name or symbol. A Curve token labelled with a familiar ticker does not become the canonical asset with that symbol. Verify the full contract address before buying.
